The Stanly County Arts Council's commemorative exhibit, FIFTY YEARS OF CULTIVATING CREATIVITY, is now open for viewing at the Stanly County History Center. Located on North Second Street in Albemarle Downtown, the History Center is open to the public Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Join us at the history center on Wednesdays to explore, learn, and create! This 30-minute program is designed for ages 2-5, but all ages are welcome!

Courthouse Tavern & Table Oyster Roast

Join us for our first ever oyster roast. This will be located just behind our restaurant in the newly finished Courthouse Plaza. This is a ticketed event, the cost is $75 plus taxes and fees per person.

Rhythm & Brews Lawn Concert

Join the Stanly County Historical Society for a evening lawn concert featuring Bucky & Laurel Hinson performing a blend of Classic Rock, Americana and Folk music on the grounds on of the historic 1852 Isaiah Snuggs House.
Our venue is located in the Downtown Social District so grab your beverages at Uwharrie Brewing and enjoy the concert. Event is free.

Alumni in milestone reunion classes are invited to kick off Falcons Nite Out, with appetizers and drinks, at Pfeiffer’s Center for Health Sciences (245 E Main St). Registration is required by October 11th and limited to alumni in the Classes of ’64, ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89, ’94, ’99, ’04, ’09, ’14, and ’19, plus one guest.
